The inbox

Every conversation people have with your lens lands in your inbox, where you can read the full threads, catch refusals, and take over as a human.

When you share your lens, people talk to it. The Inbox is where all of that comes back to you. Each row is one visitor session, meaning one person’s conversation with your lens, and clicking a row opens the full thread.

The inbox belongs to the lens you are currently working in. Switch lenses from your avatar menu and the inbox switches with you, so you never see two lenses’ conversations mixed together.

How the page is laid out

The inbox has two panes:

  • Conversation list shows who is talking, what the conversation is about, and the latest line. Filter chips at the top narrow it to Unread, Refused, or Notes, and the chips carry live counts. A small pill on a row means something is unread there; a flag means the lens refused a question in that thread.
  • The conversation is a wide, centered thread with the visitor on the left and everything from your brain on the right. Your own replies are solid and tagged You. The AI’s replies are outlined and tagged AI, with source chips under answers that come from your saved facts and sources.

Only real conversations appear. A visitor who just opened your page, or passed a gate without asking anything, never creates a row.

What you can do

  • Reply as you. Type in the composer and press Enter. The visitor sees a clearly tagged human reply next to the AI bubbles, live. Shift+Enter adds a line break.
  • The AI steps back while you are in. After you reply, the AI pauses in that conversation. If the visitor asks something new, they are told you are answering personally and the question waits for you. The AI resumes on its own a few hours later, or you can press Resume AI now in the strip above the composer.
  • Polish your wording. The Polish button cleans up the tone of your draft while keeping the facts. You can undo it if you do not like the result.
  • Save a question and answer as a fact. When you spot a question your lens should be able to answer, click Save as fact under the answer to add it to your knowledge. See Facts and citations.
  • Fix a refused answer. Click Fix this answer on a refused turn, write what your lens should have said, and save it. Next time someone asks something similar, the lens uses your answer.
  • Open the visitor’s profile. The Profile button opens a panel over the conversation with the AI’s behavior summary, your own notes about the visitor, quick facts, and an optional monthly message cap. The thread keeps its full width underneath. The same panel appears on the Audience page.

Keyboard shortcuts

Press ? anywhere in the inbox to see the full list. The main ones:

  • Up / Down moves the selection in the list
  • Enter opens the selected conversation, or sends your reply from the composer
  • Shift+Enter adds a new line while writing
  • Esc closes the current conversation or any open panel
  • Cmd+F or / focuses the search box

Realtime and notifications

New questions and notes appear without refreshing. The bell in the top bar lights up when there is something unread, the browser tab title shows an (N) prefix while the tab is in the background, and if you grant permission, Mindola can show a desktop notification.

Try this

  • Skim Refused first. Each refusal is a question your lens should be able to answer. Capture the missing piece and it can.
  • Reply to one visitor as yourself. They will see a clearly tagged reply from you in their chat, and the AI holds back until you are done.
