Docs / Account and billing
Your account
Manage your profile, the ways you sign in, and the verification steps that let you publish lenses.
Your profile
Open Settings then Profile to set your name and avatar. This is your private identity - it is how Mindola addresses you inside the app. You can change either at any time, and changes apply across the app immediately without affecting any lens you have already published.
Your account name and avatar are never shown to lens visitors. What visitors see is set per lens in the lens builder, so you can share under a different name, or a brand, without touching your account profile. See Appearance and tone.
Ways to sign in
There are three ways to get into your account:
- Password - enter your email and password.
- Google - tap Continue with Google.
- Email link - get a one-time sign-in link in your inbox, no password needed.
Sign in with an email link
- On the sign-in page, tap Sign in with an email link instead.
- Enter your email and tap Send sign-in link.
- Open the email and tap the link. You are signed in automatically.
The link works for 30 minutes and can be used once. If it expires or you have already used it, just request a new one. If you do not have an account yet, clicking the link creates one for you and verifies your email at the same time.
Forgot your password? Use the email link to get in now, then set a new password from Settings then Profile, or use the forgot password option on the sign-in page.
Verification
Lenses are public pages, so Mindola asks for two things before you can publish or reactivate one:
- A confirmed email, so Mindola can reach you and the account belongs to a real person.
- A confirmed phone number, one per account. This is the simplest way to keep impersonation off the platform.
You can also link identity providers (Google, GitHub, LinkedIn) to your account. Each one you connect lights up the “Verified” pill on your lens page, so visitors can see at a glance that the lens is operated by who it claims to be.
Open Settings then Verification to work through the three sections.
If your email is not confirmed yet, tap Send confirmation email. Click the link in the mail once and you are done. Email verification persists until you change your email address.
Phone
Type your number with the country code, for example +31612345678. Tap Send code and you get a 6-digit code by SMS. Type the code and tap Verify.
The number is yours and yours alone. If another account already verified the same digits, Mindola tells you and asks you to use a different one.
Identity providers
Click Connect next to Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn. You are taken to that provider’s normal sign-in screen. Approve the read-only request and you return to Settings with the provider linked.
Each connected provider adds a small badge to your lens page. Disconnect at any time and the badge disappears immediately.
What Mindola stores
- The verified email address.
- The phone number in international format, one per account.
- For identity providers: the provider name, your handle on that platform, and the time you linked it. Mindola never stores provider passwords and never posts on your behalf.
You can delete the phone number or any identity provider link at any time.
Try this
Verify your email and phone, then publish a lens and connect at least one identity provider. Open your lens in an incognito tab: the “Verified” pill now shows which providers vouch for you.
