The Built with Mindola badge

Free lenses carry a small Mindola badge in the corner. Here is what it looks like, what it does, and how to remove it.

Every lens on the free plan shows a small Built with Mindola badge to visitors. Paid plans do not.

What visitors see

On a wide screen the badge is a small pill in the bottom left corner of your lens, next to the ask box. It shows the Mindola mark and the words “Built with Mindola”. When a visitor hovers over it, it opens up to offer “Create yours”.

On a phone or a narrow window the corner belongs to the ask box, so the badge moves into the small line of text under it instead. Same words, same link, less clutter.

Either way it is one line, it never covers your content, and it never interrupts a conversation. Clicking it opens mindola.ai in a new tab. Your visitor stays on your lens.

The small x

Hovering the badge also shows a small x. It does not hide the badge. It opens a short note that says the owner can remove the badge with Pro or Premium, and links to the plans. Clicking the x again, or pressing Escape, closes the note and puts the badge back the way it was.

So anyone wondering what the badge is, or how to get rid of it, gets the answer in one click. Upgrading is the only thing that takes it off a lens.

Why it is there

The badge tells a visitor what they are talking to and where it came from. It is also how most people find Mindola in the first place: someone reads a lens, likes it, and makes their own.

How to remove it

Upgrade to any paid plan. The badge disappears from every lens on your account as soon as the upgrade goes through, with nothing to switch on. The Pro trial removes it too, so you can see the unbranded version before you decide.

See Plans and billing for what else each plan includes.

Good to know

  • The badge follows your lens theme, so it sits quietly in both the light and the dark look.
  • Visitors cannot switch the badge off. On the free plan there is no setting for it either. Upgrading is the way.
  • Removing the badge does not remove the small “Report” link. That one stays on every lens, on every plan, so visitors always have a way to flag a problem.
  • A lens you made from the website and have not claimed yet counts as free, so it shows the badge until you claim it and upgrade.
