Encryption

Your mind is encrypted, private by default, and only ever shared in the slices you choose.

Private by default

Everything you capture in your mind is yours. Nothing is public, and nothing reaches another person unless you publish a lens that includes it. There is no default sharing you need to turn off.

Encrypted at rest

Sensitive content - your messages, your facts, your documents, your conversation titles - is encrypted where it is stored. It is protected both in transit and at rest.

Sharing is deliberate and scoped

When you build a lens, you choose exactly which spaces it can read. A lens cannot reach past its scope. Visitors cannot talk it into going outside that scope, and it refuses sensitive details even inside it. See Access and privacy for how scoping works.

Your account identity stays private

Your real name and avatar are never shown to visitors. What a lens shows is set separately, per lens, so your public face and your account are two different things. See Your account.

You stay in control

  • Retire a lens and its link dies immediately.
  • Archive or delete anything in your mind at any time.
  • Export everything, or delete everything - see Your data.
