Building a lens

A lens is your shareable AI page: one link where people ask questions and get answers grounded only in your material. Creating one takes a single field, a name. Everything else is refined afterwards.

Create it in one step

Click your avatar in the top-right corner, or the workspace name at the top of the sidebar, and choose New lens. Give it a name, and that is it. The new lens is a fresh workspace: everything you capture while you are inside it becomes knowledge the lens can answer from, starting immediately.

Your very first lens is created during onboarding, so this flow is for every lens after that. You can also build a lens from one sentence on the Mindola homepage, before you even have an account; see Create a lens from one sentence.

Refine it with the live preview

Open Lens and then Customize. Every setting lives on one page, grouped into sections that cover identity, personality, voice, appearance, sharing, access, and monetization, with the real public page rendered beside the form. Type a greeting and the preview re-greets. Switch the accent and it repaints. Changes save automatically as you go; the tick in the corner tells you everything is stored.

Finish the identity

A lens feels real when it has a face and a voice:

1. Identity - upload a photo and write (or generate) the welcome message and suggested questions.
2. Voice - record a voice clone so calls and read-aloud replies sound like you.
3. Share - copy your link from the Lens page, or grab a QR code from the sharing options.

The Lens page shows a small “Finish setting up” strip with these steps until they are done.

Teach it

Knowledge does not live in settings. It lives in the workspace. Add to it from Knowledge, or simply drop files onto the lens chat. By default the lens reads everything in its workspace; you can narrow that under Access, as described in Access and privacy.
